Deputy Tim West operates the digital photo camera.

The photo system, which not only provides the Sheriff's Office with instant mug shots, is connected to the internet.  Pictures taken here can be sent over the internet to other law enforcement agencies.  Distant police departments can send photos asking for help in identifying suspects.

A picture is taken every time a suspect is processed and a dated copy is filed for future use.  A suspect with a new tattoo for instance, has his/her updated photo put into the system.
