As the night grew late and cool, a camp lantern lighting SAR's position
overlooking the North Bend Athletic Track, signaled walkers that SAR was alert
and on duty.
The white spots above the luminaries are walkers wearing glow-in-the-dark
sticks.

JJ Kellum instructs Brian Hibdon as to how much sand to place in each luminary
before inserting candle.
Right:
JJ reads the name of a cancer victim. Each luminary, bearing a victim's
name was carefully placed in order along the track so relatives and friends
could find the glowing bag during the night.

There is going to be some sore backs in the morning.
Below:
It took quite a few wagon loads to get all the luminaries on the field.

With a constant high wind blowing, the luminaries needed attention throughout
the night.
